We did not send this questionnaire to candidates for the Montana Legislature. For candidates who served in the 2025 session, you can review their voting histories and the grades we gave them in the resources below. First-time candidates do not have a legislative voting record.
Key Dates
OCTOBER 5TH
Regular voter registration closes at 5 p.m.
OCTOBER 9TH
Absentee ballots begin mailing to eligible voters.
Election Day. Polls are generally open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
NOVEMBER 3RD
Missed October 5? Late registration begins October 6. Ask your county election office how and where to register after the regular deadline. See Montana’s official election calendar.

Already receive an absentee ballot? Ballots begin mailing October 9. Find out how to request one, track it, and return it. Follow the instructions on your return envelope carefully. Be sure to fill in your birth year on the envelope or your ballot will not be counted.

About the Guide
Montanans for Choice Take Action sent the same questions to candidates for U.S. Senate and U.S. House. Candidate responses are published as submitted, with only minor formatting or typographical edits. Candidates who did not submit a questionnaire are marked “Did not respond.” Montana Supreme Court candidates received a separate set of questions.
Montanans for Choice Take Action does not endorse candidates for federal office. This questionnaire is intended to provide voters with information about candidates’ positions on issues related to reproductive freedom, gender equality, and sexual health.
Montanans for Choice Take Action is endorsing three ballot initiatives that will appear on your 2026 ballot. You can read more about why we are endorsing those initiatives in the guide.
